    Context and Challenges of the Assignment

    An industrial group has launched a strategic program to migrate its integrated management system (ERP). The aim is to modernize processes, strengthen operational performance, and enhance financial visibility. To deliver this complex initiative, the company has engaged a Transition Manager to lead the ERP project, coordinate key users, and drive effective change management, with the possibility of subsequently moving into a CIO role.

    Key Objectives of the Assignment

    This context entails several major objectives.
    1. Assurance of a controlled, secure rollout to a modern, integrated solution
    2. Structuring the relationship with key users and ensuring engagement from business teams
    3. Support for employees and the establishment of an IT–business pairing model
    4. Securing continuity of operations and preparing the future of the Information Systems (IS) function

    Roles and Key Responsibilities

    The Transition Manager led the ERP project with a hands-on, unifying approach. Responsibilities were structured around the following pillars:
    • ERP migration plan aligned with strategy Definition of the ERP migration plan, consistent with the Group’s financial and operational strategy
    • ERP project monitoring and post-deployment performance Implementation of dashboards and metrics to track project progress and measure post-deployment performance
    • Reliability of financial processes and migration security Ensuring the reliability of integrated financial processes and securing data migration
    • Consistent ERP deployment across all sites Ensuring the consistency of the ERP rollout across all industrial and logistics sites, coordinating specific requirements
    • Risk management and compliance Anticipating risks related to the ERP migration and ensuring compliance of business and financial processes
