A fast-growing company in the food industry is facing the departure of its incumbent Quality Director. This exit comes at a strategic moment for the organization, with several major initiatives underway or about to be launched. In this context, the Executive Team aims to secure operational continuity while accelerating the structuring of the Quality function through the involvement of an Interim Director of Quality on a transformation mission.Key Objectives to the Assignment
This interim assignment had several objectives for the company.
- Ensure a rapid takeover of the Quality function and guarantee continuity of operations
- Structure quality processes (customers, suppliers, products)
- Initiate the centralization of quality practices and frameworks to align with Group standards
- Kick off the digitization project for quality tools (first milestones)
Roles and Key Responsibilities
The Transition Manager will act at both operational and strategic levels. Their key roles revolve around the following pillars:- Customer Quality Management Ensuring customer satisfaction by securing responses to nonconformities, corrective action plans, and analysis of field feedback
- Supplier Quality Management Conducting audits and driving capability building for strategic suppliers
- Product Expertise Strengthening product quality standards, formalizing specifications, and coordinating R&D, Production, and Quality teams
- Quality Management Team reorganization, role clarity, and reinforcement of internal capabilities
- Digitization of Quality Tools Laying the foundations for a digital transformation of quality tools (traceability, documentation, real-time KPIs)
