    Context and Challenges of the Assignment

    Following the resignation of the QHSE Director, the food industry company faces a critical managerial vacancy at a strategic site. At the heart of the value chain, the site must meet strict quality, hygiene, safety, environment, and energy requirements. Ensuring operational continuity while maintaining QHSE standards with clients, regulators, and partners is the priority. To address this, the company engaged an Interim QHSE Director for a relief mission.

    Key Objectives of the Assignment

    This context imposes several major objectives.
    1. Ensuring managerial and operational continuity over the QHSE scope
    2. Stabilizing the existing team and securing critical processes
    3. Maintaining regulatory compliance and client commitments
    4. Preparing the ground for the successor’s recruitment and potential reorganization of the function

    Roles and Key Responsibilities

    Transition Manager will play an operational, managerial, and strategic role, structured around the following pillars:
    • QHSE Operations OversightOverall QHSE stewardship by applying procedures and best practices, controlling product quality, and monitoring all flows
    • Customer Relations & Delivered QualityAnalysis of customer specifications, management of complaints, and continuous improvement of nonconformity management
    • Leading the QHSE TeamManagement of frontline staff by restoring method, purpose, and clarity, while strengthening cohesion and energizing the team
    • Liaison with Internal & External Stakeholders Primary contact for service providers, ensuring the expected level of rigor, and conducting internal and supplier audits
    • QHSE Strategy & FrameworkDefinition of the measures required for the integrated management system (Quality, Hygiene, Safety, Environment, Energy)
